What are Forecast Variances and Re-forecasting?

Fast-growing and evolving brands have hundreds of lines at the Planning Group and Product Level that require re-forecasting every month. Manually scrolling through and analyzing how actuals have come in, and determining how to update the forecast is extremely tedious. However, neglecting to update the forecast can lead to inaccuracies and missed projections.

That's exactly what Confido's Sales Forecast Variance Call-outs solves for. Confido uses AI/ML to provide sales forecast recommendations based on ingested data, to ensure that the teams sales forecast is always up to date.

How does it work?

Confido will surface recommended changes on store counts and velocities at the Planning Group + Product-Level, and summarize the highest urgency forecast updates at the top of the sales forecast.

The top-left will display the amount of high urgency forecast changes, click in "View Recommendations" to Accept or Reject these recommendations.

Users can quickly go through the list of forecast recommendations by level of priority.

Users can also view the recommendations directly on the sales forecast, where there will be a red icon to denote that there are variance recommendations to view.
